Landfill Gas Emissions Model (LandGEM)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS). Estimates emission rates for methane, carbon dioxide, nonmethane organic compounds, and individual toxic air pollutants from landfills. The program can also be used by landfill owners and operators to determine if a landfill is subject to the control requirements of the federal New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) for new municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills (40 CFR 60 Subpart WWW) or the emission guidelines for existing MSW landfills (40 CFR 60 Subpart Cc).

Livestock Manure Storage
By US Environmental Protection Agency and Purdue University. Looks at livestock manure as a potential ground and surface water pollutant. It explains the factors which affect manure properties, and the effects of water pollution on humans and animals. A questionnaire helps evaluate the risk associated with the user's current practices and suggests solutions. Contains a complete tutorial on manure handling, collection, stabilization through biological treatment, storage systems, land application and other uses, and avoiding hazards.

MULTIMDP (MULTIMED Daughter Process) (for DOS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Exposure Assessment Modeling (CEAM). The Multimedia Exposure Assessment Model (MULTIMED) for exposure assessment simulates the movement of contaminants leaching from a waste disposal facility. The MULTIMED model has been modified (MULTIMDP) to simulate the transport and fate of first- and second-generation transformation (daughter) products that migrate from a waste source through the unsaturated and saturated zones to a downgradient receptor well.

MULTIMED 1.01 (for DOS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Exposure Assessment Modeling (CEAM). The Multimedia Exposure Assessment Model (MULTIMED) for exposure assessment simulates the movement of contaminants leaching from a waste disposal facility. The model consists of a number of modules which predict concentrations at a receptor due to transport in the subsurface, surface air, or air.

MULTIMED 2.00 Beta (for DOS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Exposure Assessment Modeling (CEAM). The Multimedia Exposure Assessment Model (MULTIMED) for exposure assessment simulates the movement of contaminants leaching from a waste disposal facility. The model consists of a number of modules which predict concentrations at a receptor due to transport in the subsurface, surface air, or air.

RITZ (for DOS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory, Center for Subsurface Modeling Support. RITZ is a screening level model for simulation of unsaturated zone flow and transport of oily wastes during land treatment. RITZ was developed to help decision makers systematically estimate the movement and fate of hazardous chemicals during land treatment of oily wastes. The model considers the downward movement of the pollutant with the soil solution, volatilization, and loss to the atmosphere, and degradation.

STF (for DOS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory, Center for Subsurface Modeling Support. STF is a computer-based tool for selecting data on chemicals in the environment and for simulating their fate and transport in site-specific conditions. The software consists of three components: 1) STF 2.0 (Soil Transport and Fate Database), which provides information on the behavior of chemicals in soil environments for use as input data on, for example, degradation rates and partition coefficients. 2) RITZ (Regulatory and Investigative Treatment Zone) and VIP 3.0 models. RITZ simulates hazardous chemical movement and fate during land treatment of oily wastes. VIP evaluates data using six different output options. 3) RITZ and VIP model editors.
